Features of this release:
1. Dynamic Watermark for Classified-Only Files
- Users will now see a dynamic watermark on classified-only files (files that have been classified but not protected), when configured by Global Security Admins (GSAs).
- This feature proves valuable in multiple scenarios: as a standalone protective measure, for activity monitoring without file protection.
- Dynamic watermark will be visible on supported versions of Microsoft Office and Adobe applications. It will appear on files that are classified using labels with dynamic watermarking enabled in the Policy Server portal.
2. Protecting Email Body for Classified Emails is Now Configurable
- Previously, email bodies classified with an EDRM policy-applied label would automatically get protected.
- Now, GSAs have the flexibility to decide whether to protect the email bodies of classified emails.
- This feature is particularly useful for organizations that prefer not to apply protection to all classified emails as every classified email may not contain sensitive information.
3. Classification Migration
- Enterprises can now migrate all files classified using Boldon James Classifier to Seclore DAC. Upon migration, the classification metadata from Boldon James will be seamlessly replaced by Seclore DAC metadata.
- Visual markings from Boldon James, like headers and footers, will also be migrated to Seclore DAC.
- Boldon James classified emails can also be migrated to Seclore DAC by creating a Content Policy in the Policy Server portal. This policy will detect the presence of Boldon James header/footer and suggest an appropriate DAC label to end users when they reply to or forward such emails.
4. Bulk Classification
- Enterprises can now effortlessly perform automatic bulk classification and optional protection for files in a chosen folder, whether it's a network or local Windows folder.
- To enable this, admins can use a .bat file that includes details like folder path, label ID, whether to apply a protection policy, and execute these .bat files using tools such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Active Directory (AD).
- This feature would help organizations who wish to bulk classify archived data and ensure regulatory compliance.
5. Enhanced Endpoint SDK
- The Seclore Endpoint SDK offers enhanced functionalities, enabling actions such as protection, classification, combined classification and protection, bulk operations, and more.
- This enhancement will help enterprises leverage their existing DLP solutions for efficient data classification and protection.
- With automated classification and protection, the process involves minimal overhead and eliminates the need for manual intervention.
- It also enhances end-user awareness and visibility of sensitive information by introducing visual markings for classified files.
6. EDRM Support for One Outlook/New Outlook
- We’ve added EDRM support for One Outlook/New Outlook. All Seclore protection features available in Outlook on the web are now available in One Outlook/New Outlook. This does not include support for Seclore Digital Asset Classification (DAC).
- Seclore features in the Old Outlook desktop app remain unchanged.
7. Other improvements
- External users who are not added as Guests can now open Seclore-protected files shared with them from SharePoint Online and Teams.
- When a new Teams channel is created, the Seclore tab will now be added automatically and instantly. Earlier, it used to take up to 24 hours.
- Added an option to use end user’s email address in the ‘From’ field for emails sent by Seclore on an end user’s behalf. System Administrators can enable this feature in the Server Configurations section in the Policy Server portal.
8. Maintenance and upgrades
- Added support for Forcepoint DLP 8.9.1
- Apache Tomcat upgraded to version 9.0.73.
- Added support for Microsoft SQL Server 2022. Discontinued support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2012.

Discontinuing Support:
The Seclore product suite needs to continuously support new platforms and maintain version compatibility with a whole lot of devices and applications that inevitably get launched every year.
Unsupported software that is no longer patched and updated also carries greater security risks. It is critical for us to stop supporting such platforms and ensure that Seclore protected information is safe and secure from vulnerabilities of the underlying technology.
Discontinued Seclore Lite for Windows on 31st May 2021
With Seclore 3.14 release (1st June 2020) Seclore Lite for Windows was automatically upgraded to the new Seclore for Windows. Support for the Lite agent was discontinued on 31st May 2021. If you are on a release earlier than 3.14, please upgrade at the earliest.

What does Seclore End of support date really mean?
It means that Seclore product versions released before the End of Support Date may still work, but releases after that date may not.
For example, regarding Windows XP support:
- Assuming the following release dates:
- 1-May: Seclore Desktop Client 3.8 is released.
- 30-June: End of Support for Windows XP
- 1-August: Seclore Desktop Client 3.9 is released.
- Now, on a Windows XP computer, it will still be possible to install Desktop Client 3.8
- However, it will not be possible to install Desktop Client 3.9.
- Also, existing 3.8 installations on Windows XP will not get upgraded to 3.9.
What Seclore components are no longer supported?
The End-of-Life Date for a Software Version will be 24 months from the time it becomes Generally Available. This includes all Seclore agents that are installed on end-user devices and server-side components like the Policy Server, Enterprise Application connectors, APIs and SDKs.
All upgrades and patches are provided on the latest release versions only. For more information, see our Product Lifecycle Policy.
